Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Top Scorer Adrian Arqis

Hapoel Be'er Sheva, the Israeli Premier League champions, have officially announced the signing of striker Adrian Arqis from fellow league club Kiryat Shmona. Arqis, who was one of the league's leading scorers last season with 18 goals for Kiryat Shmona, has agreed to a three-year contract with Be'er Sheva.

The transfer fee for the 30-year-old Peruvian forward is reported to be 1 million euros, and he will earn 300,000 euros per season. Arqis's arrival bolsters Be'er Sheva's attacking options alongside Igor Zlatanovic, while Javan East will play as a winger in the team's upcoming Champions League qualifying campaign.

Arqis previously played with teammate Mohamed Abu Rumi at Kiryat Shmona, and they will now reunite at Be'er Sheva. He joins a roster of foreign players including Djibril Diop, Pedro Amador, Lucas Ventura, Joao Victor, East, and Zlatanovic. This move marks Arqis's first stint in Europe, having spent most of his career in Peru and also playing in Canada.

Arqis has represented the Peruvian national team four times, earning his first call-up while playing for Kiryat Shmona. He played 75 minutes in a 3-1 loss to Spain in a pre-World Cup friendly. Upon signing, Arqis expressed his excitement, stating, "I am excited to sign with the state champions. I thank the professional staff and management for their trust in me.
