Hapoel Be'er Sheva Nears Deal for Striker Adrian Arellano
Hapoel Be'er Sheva is expected to finalize the signing of Peruvian striker Adrian Arellano from Kiryat Shmona today, Tuesday. Kiryat Shmona had set a price tag of one million euros for the forward, who scored 18 goals last season. Significant progress was made in negotiations after the player's family, who managed the talks, showed flexibility in their demands.
Arellano is reportedly set to sign a three-year contract with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, earning 300,000 euros per season. Coach Kozuch plans to utilize both Arellano and Igor Zlatanovic as the team's primary strikers for the upcoming season, during which the club will compete in two competitions. Javon East is expected to continue in his role as a winger, a position he has performed well in.
The need for offensive reinforcement was highlighted during a recent match against Hapoel Ramat Gan, which saw both Zlatanovic (injured) and East (suspended) absent. Although young player Amit Ohana scored in that game, the club recognized the necessity of acquiring another quality forward.
Hapoel Be'er Sheva still has a spot for an eighth foreign player, likely to be a midfielder, whom they aim to sign by Wednesday evening.
