Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Adrian Ugrinic from Kiryat Shmona

Kiryat Shmona is preparing for the departure of Adrian Ugrinic, who is set to transfer to Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The deal, valued at approximately 800,000 euros, is expected to be finalized today. While Kiryat Shmona might have preferred a later departure for their star player, they acknowledged the move was inevitable.

"We are happy for him, he dreamed of this," a club representative stated, noting Ugrinic's desire for career advancement. "We are a little sad about the timing, late in the transfer window, but we gave him our blessing."

Kiryat Shmona's preference was to sell Ugrinic to an Israeli club. Although he had a clause allowing a move abroad for 400,000 euros, which was not exercised, the club managed to secure a significantly higher fee from Be'er Sheva. Be'er Sheva highly valued Ugrinic's abilities and agreed to the substantial sum.

This transfer provides a significant financial boost to Kiryat Shmona, adding to recent sales of players like Sako Bangura, Mohamed Abu Rumi, Yair Mordechai, and Christian Martinez. "This is part of our DNA, a reality we are accustomed to," officials said.

The club is now seeking a high-profile foreign striker to replace Ugrinic, aiming for a player who can lead their attack effectively.
