Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Adrian Ugrinic from Kiryat Shmona

Kiryat Shmona is preparing for the departure of Adrian Ugrinic, who is set to transfer to Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The deal, expected to be finalized today, will see the southern club pay approximately 800,000 euros for the player. While Kiryat Shmona might have preferred a later departure for their star player, they acknowledged the move was inevitable.

"We are happy for him, he dreamed of this," a club representative stated, adding, "He really wanted this step up. We are a little sad about the timing, relatively late in the transfer window, but we gave him our blessing."

Kiryat Shmona's preference was to sell Ugrinic to an Israeli club. He had a clause allowing a move abroad for 400,000 euros, which was not exercised. Despite Ugrinic's initial desire to play overseas, Kiryat Shmona secured a profit more than double the foreign release clause by selling him to Be'er Sheva, who highly valued his abilities and agreed to a significant sum.

This transfer provides a substantial financial boost to Kiryat Shmona, adding to recent sales of players like Sako Bangura, Mohamed Abu Rumi, Yair Mordechai, and Kristian Martins. "This is part of our DNA, a reality we are accustomed to," officials from Kiryat Shmona commented.

The club is now seeking a foreign striker to replace Ugrinic, aiming to sign a high-profile player who can lead their offense. "We need to know how to react well," they added.
