Teen Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Bus Driver in Beit Shemesh
Police in Beit Shemesh arrested a 15-year-old resident of Jerusalem overnight on suspicion of assaulting a bus driver. The driver, 48, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The incident began when a dispute erupted between the driver and the teenager. According to the suspicion, the minor then spat at the driver and physically assaulted him.
The suspect fled the scene after the attack but was located by police during the night. He was taken into custody for questioning at the Beit Shemesh station.
Authorities are expected to request an extension of his detention from the court. The investigation into the circumstances of the altercation is ongoing.
