Advisory Committee to Recommend Security Detail for Gadi Eisenkot

An advisory committee on personal security is set to recommend providing a close security detail for Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the "Yashar" party. This recommendation comes after significant public debate regarding his security needs. The committee's decision is based on Eisenkot's perceived leadership role within his political bloc, even in the absence of concrete intelligence indicating specific threats.

The recommendation will now be forwarded to the Ministerial Committee for Shin Bet Affairs for final approval. This committee, which includes the Prime Minister, the Defense Minister, and Ministers Ben-Gvir, Levin, and Kish, is expected to adopt the advisory committee's recommendation and formally authorize the security detail.

In parallel, a decision on security for Yair Golan, chairman of "HaDemocratim" party, has been postponed. A further discussion will be held to determine the appropriate security arrangements for Golan.

The discussion regarding Eisenkot's security was initiated at the request of the Shin Bet. While an official date for the ministerial committee meeting has not yet been set, sources indicate they are likely to approve the advisory committee's proposal once it is formally submitted.
