Ofer Winter Rejects Netanyahu's Claim, Blames PM's Policies for Harming Right-Wing

Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Am Israel" party, has responded to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's assertion that Winter's potential independent run in elections would harm the right-wing bloc. Winter stated that it is not he, but rather Netanyahu's policies, that endanger the right-wing and the entire nation of Israel.

During an interview on the "HaPatriotim" program, Netanyahu suggested that Winter would "burn his right-wing vote" if he ran alone. In response, Winter argued that actions such as allowing kites from Gaza, sending hundreds of aid trucks to the Strip daily, and the presence of thousands of Hamas fighters pose a greater threat to the right-wing and the nation.

Winter further elaborated that enabling draft evasion from the IDF and failing to integrate the Haredi community into military service also endanger the right-wing. He also criticized the perceived lack of support for those who serve and fight, stating they do not receive what they are due.

Winter concluded by advocating for change, suggesting that electing the same people will not yield different results. He proposed that true change requires new individuals who were not involved in the failures leading up to the October 7th attacks. Winter emphasized that his party is part of the right-wing camp but serves only the people of Israel, not any specific leader.
