Good Boys 3 Film Centers on $100,000 Matchmaking Deal in New York

The Israeli film "Good Boys 3," the third installment in the "Good Boys" trilogy directed by Eran Tdmor, is set to premiere on September 24, just before the Sukkot holiday. The film marks a rare achievement for Israeli cinema, being the first complete Israeli film trilogy in 35 years. Returning stars include Maor Shvitzer as Baruch Auerbach, Niv Sultan as Ruth, and Irit Kaplan as the matchmaker Malki. They are joined by new cast members Michael Rapaport, Yedidya Groman, Naya Bienstock, and Moshe Ashkenazi.

The plot follows Baruch, a Haredi matchmaker from Bnei Brak, who is preparing for his own wedding to Ruth. To finance the wedding, he must reconnect with Malki for a lucrative matchmaking opportunity. American-Haredi millionaire Michael Gerstel, played by Michael Rapaport, offers $100,000 to anyone who can find a suitable match for his only daughter.

Baruch and Malki travel to New York to find the prospective groom. Their journey plunges them into a world of wealth and glamour, uncovering family secrets and facing unexpected challenges. As the matchmaking process becomes complicated, Baruch realizes that the potentially life-changing deal could endanger what he holds most dear. The film continues the comedic tone of the series, expanding its scope from Bnei Brak to New York, and explores themes of money, love, and identity within the world of matchmaking.
