Hapoel Jerusalem Sues Hapoel Tel Aviv for Millions Over Carrington Transfer

Hapoel Jerusalem has filed a lawsuit seeking 2.3 million shekels from Hapoel Tel Aviv concerning the transfer of American-Israeli guard Kadyn Carrington. The Jerusalem club claims entitlement to a percentage of Carrington's salary, arguing he played for them for four consecutive seasons. According to the Basketball Association's championship regulations, a team is eligible for development or transfer fees if a player has been with them for three consecutive seasons in the Premier League.

Hapoel Jerusalem is demanding 20% of Carrington's gross salary for one season, contingent on the presentation of his player contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv and the actual amounts specified therein, as submitted to budgetary control. The dispute centers on whether Carrington's tenure with Hapoel Jerusalem qualifies the club for these fees under league rules.
