Beitar Jerusalem's coach, Almog Cohen, postponed the team meeting following their 4-1 defeat to Maccabi Netanya in the season opener at Bloomfield Stadium. The players are still processing the loss and have begun discussing the need for a mental shift ahead of their upcoming match against Hapoel Tel Aviv on Thursday. "Everyone took it hard, but we must pick ourselves up, this is our profession," one player reportedly stated.
Injuries continue to be a concern for Beitar Jerusalem. Nana Antwi is still limping and is a major doubt for Thursday's game, as is Yarden Cohen. Coach Almog Cohen's tactical setup will depend on the fitness of these two players. Yarden Shua is a potential starter up front for Thursday, with Daniel Vorku expected to return to the lineup.
Regarding potential new signings, Beitar Jerusalem has not yet received a response from Independiente Medellin concerning Alexis Sereno. If the Colombian club does not reply by Monday, Beitar will explore other transfer options.
