Social Media Star Shirli Levi Marks One Year Since Sister's Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Social media influencer Shirli Levi is marking one year since the tragic death of her sister, Shiran, who was killed in a motorcycle accident. Levi shared her grief and enduring pain in a heartfelt Instagram post on Saturday evening, stating, "When you died, I died too. I miss you every day."

Levi described the past 365 days as a period where her heart is still trying to comprehend the loss. "My family is not the same family," she wrote, adding that the grief has become an inseparable and powerful part of her. She expressed hope for continued happiness and a life filled with smiles, believing her sister's spirit will always be with her.

In her post, which garnered tens of thousands of likes, Levi concluded with poignant words of hope: "I hope I will continue to live happily and smile. That you will live inside me forever, in my thoughts, in my imagination, in our pictures, in the signs you give me. I know you are always with me. Forever 18. Forever a bereaved sister."

Shiran Levi, who was 18 at the time of her death and was on her way to join the IDF, was working as a pizza delivery driver when the accident occurred. Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene due to severe head trauma.

Over the past year, Levi has also shared her journey of growing closer to religion, including attempts to observe Shabbat. She recounted a moving experience where she found a Psalms book belonging to her sister, with the first marked chapter corresponding to the Hebrew date of Shiran's death, which she interpreted as a sign of her sister's awareness.
