Mansour Abbas Calls to Boost Arab Voter Turnout Ahead of Israeli Elections

The United Arab List (Ra'am) held a major election rally on Friday in Fureidis, attended by party leader and Knesset member Dr. Mansour Abbas, along with fellow Knesset members Dr. Yasser Hajirat and Iman Khatib-Yasin. The event drew a large crowd from the Arab community and emphasized the urgent need to increase voter turnout among Arab citizens to transform electoral strength into real political influence.

In their speeches, Ra'am representatives outlined the key challenges facing the Arab sector, including crime and violence, housing and planning, education, employment, and local authority development. They stressed that the next phase requires uniting efforts to strengthen Ra'am’s political power to protect Arab rights and address pressing social issues. The party’s political project aims to move beyond protest to achieving tangible gains that improve daily life and enhance the community’s status.

Speaking on behalf of the youth, Sari Saadi highlighted the critical role of younger generations in political and social activism, urging greater youth participation in shaping decisions and the future of Arab society. Additionally, on Friday, the Islamic Movement, represented by Ra'am in the Knesset, held events in Jaljulia and Kafr Qasim to mark the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday. The main speech in Jaljulia was delivered by Islamic Movement leader Safwat Freij, with Ra'am Knesset member Walid Taha also participating.
