Crystal Palace's Daniel Munoz Set to Join Nottingham Forest for £22 Million

Daniel Munoz, the right-back for Crystal Palace, is on the verge of transferring to Nottingham Forest, reuniting with his former coach Oliver Glasner. Forest has submitted a £22 million offer for Munoz, who impressed during the recent World Cup. Both clubs are confident the deal will be finalized before the transfer window closes between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Munoz has been competing with Israeli defender Hlalili for the starting right-back position at Palace. Although Nottingham Forest initially showed interest in Hlalili, they ultimately decided not to meet the demands of his club, Saint-Étienne. Munoz, a more experienced player, is expected to join Forest as the preferred right-back, while Oscar Mingueza, a former Barcelona player capable of playing left-back, is likely to back up Hlalili.

Munoz did not participate in Palace's recent 4-1 loss to Manchester City, a match in which Hlalili started. Palace's new coach, Pierre Saha, stated that Munoz's absence was a professional decision. Munoz is expected to reunite with Glasner, who coached him successfully at Palace in recent years.
