Daniel Munoz Set to Leave Crystal Palace for Nottingham Forest in £22 Million Deal

Daniel Munoz, the right-back for Crystal Palace, is on the verge of transferring to Nottingham Forest, reuniting with his former coach Oliver Glasner. Forest has submitted a £22 million offer for Munoz, who impressed during the recent World Cup. Both clubs are confident the deal will be finalized before the transfer window closes between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Nottingham Forest had initially shown interest in Israeli right-back Hlalili, who was expected to be Palace's primary right-back for the upcoming season. However, Forest ultimately decided not to meet the demands of Saint-Étienne, Hlalili's club. Munoz, a more experienced player, was preferred and is expected to serve as the main right-back, with Oscar Mingueza, a former Barcelona player capable of playing left-back, likely to back up Hlalili.

Munoz did not participate in Palace's recent 4-1 loss to Manchester City, a match in which Hlalili started. Palace's new coach, Pierre Saha, stated that this was a professional decision. Munoz is expected to reunite with Glasner, who coached him successfully at Palace in recent years.
