Israel Considers Expelling British Representatives From Gaza Coordination Base Amid Rising Tensions

The Israeli military, alongside US forces, is considering removing British representatives from the international coordination base in Kiryat Gat, which manages activities and arrangements related to the Gaza Strip. This development was reported by the Financial Times on Thursday and confirmed by an Israeli source, citing escalating tensions with London due to Britain's critical stance on Israeli policies. Discussions may also extend to other European countries, including Germany and Italy.

The Kiryat Gat base, led by the US and involving the IDF, hosts military and diplomatic representatives from dozens of countries and international bodies to oversee Gaza-related agreements. This move follows Israel's recent decision to expel representatives from other European nations, notably the Netherlands and Spain. Dutch representatives were removed after the Netherlands promoted a boycott of Israeli products originating from settlements.
