Man Allegedly Kills Wife With Axe in Petah Tikva, Then Commits Suicide

According to investigators, the husband attacked his wife with an axe inside their home. The couple's children were present in the apartment and reportedly witnessed the fatal attack. According to Kipa, the weapon used was a butcher knife.

Magen David Adom paramedics Dor Tzabari and Muhammad Fawaka arrived at the scene and found the woman unconscious with critical injuries, no pulse, and not breathing. They were forced to declare her dead at the scene. Police launched a search for the husband and discovered his body in a nearby street, approximately 100 meters from the residence, where he had apparently committed suicide.

Petah Tikva police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the deaths, collecting evidence at both locations. According to Makan, this incident follows a similar case last month in Kiryat Haim, where a woman was fatally stabbed in her apartment in front of her six-year-old son.
