Maayan Adam Names Newborn Son "Eito" After Difficult Medical Journey

The choice of name reflects the unexpected circumstances of the pregnancy, which occurred naturally against medical odds. The 38-year-old presenter had previously been told she could not conceive naturally following a diagnosis of rare ovarian cancer and surgeries that removed one ovary and a fallopian tube. Having experienced difficult births with her two daughters, Tavor and Kedem, Adam and Tzelner had already begun a surrogacy process when she became pregnant.

Adam shared on Instagram that she initially worried the name Eito might not be registered in Israel, but she discovered another person in the country already bears it. She described her son's birth as a "manifesto of timing," noting that rain began to fall at the exact moment he was born. Eito joins his sisters Tavor and Kedem, as well as Tzelner's daughter Amit from a previous marriage.
