Two Israeli Soldiers Killed in West Bank Gunfight Near Hebron

The fallen soldiers were identified as Sergeant Ron Yonatan Reutman, 23, from Ashkelon, and Sergeant Yuval Shay Soilem, 20, from Hod Hasharon. According to Ynet, the attack took place at the Judea Junction in the Judea Brigade area, while Al-Shams reported it occurred at the Gush Etzion junction. Behadrei Haredim reported that the incident took place on Sunday, October 26th.

During the incident, terrorists opened fire on Israeli forces, leading to a gunfight. Al-Shams reported that the exchange lasted over 20 minutes and ended when Israeli forces killed the two attackers, who were carrying a large amount of ammunition. While Ynet reported that three other soldiers were lightly wounded, Al-Shams stated that five soldiers were wounded, including two in serious condition.

Following the attack, security forces increased their presence in the area and imposed a cordon around nearby villages. The IDF is currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.
