Man Rescued From Burning Home in Kiryat Ekron Critical

Firefighters pulled the unconscious man from the burning private home after emergency services received the initial report of the blaze at 3:14 PM. While Magen David Adom reported that the fire occurred on Sunday afternoon, Ynetnews reported that the incident took place on Tuesday.

Upon being brought out of the burning structure by firefighters, the man was found to be unconscious, not breathing, and without a pulse. He had suffered severe smoke inhalation from the fire. Magen David Adom medics and paramedics immediately began administering emergency medical treatment and performing resuscitation efforts at the scene.

The resuscitation efforts and CPR continued during his transport to Kaplan Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition. During the incident, firefighters also managed to rescue a cat unharmed from the burning residence, while fire and rescue teams worked to extinguish the remaining flames.
