US Offers $10 Million Rewards for Top Iranian Revolutionary Guard Leaders Amid Rising Tensions

The story · English

The United States has intensified pressure on Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) by offering up to $10 million for information leading to the identification or location of five senior IRGC figures. This announcement was made by the US State Department under its "Rewards for Justice" program. The targeted individuals hold key positions within the IRGC, which the US accuses of involvement in hostile actions against American military personnel, terrorism, and cyberattacks on US infrastructure.

Leading the list is Ahmad Vahidi, identified as the IRGC commander. Alongside him is Ali Abdollahi, head of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, responsible for operational command and coordination of Iranian forces, described as a key military decision-maker. Also named is Saeed Aghajani, commander of the IRGC's Air and Space Force drone unit, a critical component of Iran's growing unmanned aerial capabilities.

The list further includes Hamidreza Lashgariyan, who leads the IRGC's cyber and electronics command and is linked to cyber operations against US infrastructure. The fifth figure is Majid Khademi, head of the IRGC's intelligence organization. These appointments cover the IRGC's top command, operational leadership, drone forces, cyber warfare, and intelligence sectors.

This move is part of a broader US campaign against Iran's military and economic networks, coinciding with new sanctions targeting entities linked to Iran's military procurement and economic activities. The US State Department emphasized these actions as part of its maximum pressure policy on Tehran amid heightened tensions. The message from Washington is clear: even the highest echelons of the IRGC are within reach of US intelligence efforts.
