Oriyan Goren, an Israeli talent raised in Barcelona's La Masia academy, made a notable debut at Camp Nou on August 19, 2026, during Barcelona's final preseason match. Coming off the bench in the Joan Gamper Trophy game against Egypt's Al Ahly, Goren played 28 minutes and showcased his skills, nearly scoring after a pass from Anthony Gordon. Barcelona won the match 2-1, securing the traditional trophy.

Before kickoff, new signing Rodri was introduced to the home crowd, followed by youth players including Goren, who might soon join the senior squad for official matches. Goren was substituted in the 73rd minute, a planned move to manage player minutes. Spanish media praised him highly, calling him "the next diamond of Barcelona" and highlighting his class and potential to earn more senior team opportunities this season.

Barcelona is set to open their La Liga season on Sunday with an away game against Elche, returning to Camp Nou a week later to face Athletic Bilbao. While Goren faces stiff competition for playing time, the club's busy schedule and potential injuries could provide him chances to feature in the senior team soon.
