Oriyan Goren, the Israeli player at Barcelona, continues to train and participate in the club's preseason matches as he aims to secure a spot in the official squad for the upcoming season. On Wednesday evening, Barcelona will face Egypt's Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy at Camp Nou, marking the final preseason test before La Liga begins on Sunday against Elche at Estadio Martínez Valero.

The Spanish sports outlet AS highlighted this match as an excellent opportunity to observe academy players who have stood out during preseason, including Goren, Ibrahima Tonkara, Jordi Pascual, Xavi Espar, Brian Parinas, and Alvaro Cortes, all of whom have received significant playing time so far. Given that this is the last friendly before the competitive season, it may be Goren's final chance to impress head coach Xavi Hernandez, as the coach is less likely to experiment with academy players in official matches.

Additionally, new signings Rodri and Joao Cancelo will be introduced to the fans during the pre-match ceremony, wearing Barcelona jerseys and receiving applause. Following the presentation, the coach and team captain will address the crowd from the center of the pitch. This event sets the stage for Barcelona's preparations ahead of their La Liga opener.
