Gett Relaunches International Ride-Booking Service Covering Over 70 Countries

Gett announced on Wednesday the launch of a new international ride-booking service in partnership with Israeli-American tech company HQ. The service allows users in Israel to book and pay for rides abroad directly through the familiar Gett app, with prices displayed upfront in Israeli shekels. Initially, the service will operate in 25 countries and plans to expand to over 70.

Users will be able to order rides from local and international providers, including well-known names popular among Israelis, without needing to download or register on additional apps. Customer support will be provided in Hebrew through the Gett app. HQ, which manages transportation fleets for the business sector worldwide, aggregates hundreds of local providers across more than 1,000 cities, enabling Gett to offer diverse ride options such as taxis, electric vehicles, premium cars, large shuttles, and shared rides similar to Uber.

The initial countries covered include Austria, Italy, Ireland, the US, Belgium, Georgia, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Hungary, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Finland, the Czech Republic, France, Canada, Cyprus, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

Gett had fully exited its international operations by April 2026 after selling its London business to Lyft for about $55 million, focusing solely on the Israeli market. It had also ceased operations in Russia due to the Ukraine war. This new model marks Gett's return to international markets, acting as a broker between Israeli customers and local transport providers worldwide rather than operating its own fleets abroad.
