Israeli Ambulance Driver Charged with Spying for Iran
An indictment was filed on Thursday against Amir Hesham Muhammad Titi, a 34-year-old ambulance driver from Bana in the Galilee, accused of espionage for Iranian intelligence agencies. According to the police and the Shin Bet, Titi was arrested on June 29, 2026, on suspicion of carrying out missions on behalf of Iran. Investigations revealed that he exploited his unrestricted access to hospitals across Israel to relay information and photographs about hospital preparedness during routine and emergency situations to his handlers. Additionally, during one visit to a hospital in northern Israel, he was found to have documented a senior official during her visit to the facility.
