Over 300 Kg of Marijuana Worth $3.3 Million Seized from Vehicle with Two Haredi Men in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania state police seized over 300 kilograms of marijuana valued at more than $3.3 million from a commercial vehicle carrying two Haredi men on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The vehicle also contained 200 THC vape cartridges. The incident occurred on the I-76 highway near Lower Mifflin in Cumberland County, where officers noticed the Ram 3500 truck traveling at approximately 160 km/h in a 110 km/h zone.
The driver, a 19-year-old man from Lakewood, New Jersey, was found to be driving without a license. The passenger, a 34-year-old man from Toms River, New Jersey, was also detained. Both were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. The seized drugs and vape cartridges were confiscated by authorities.
Following their arrest, the two men were brought before a judge who set bail at $500,000 each. They remain in Cumberland County jail awaiting a preliminary hearing. The case highlights ongoing efforts by Pennsylvania law enforcement to combat large-scale drug trafficking on state highways.
