The story · English

The Ariel Youth Movement inaugurated a new multipurpose building in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood of Jerusalem on Monday. The facility, designed to serve as a club for the movement's female members, includes a sports hall and a community activity area. The project was realized in collaboration with Mifal HaPais and various Jerusalem municipal departments, aiming to expand educational and community activities in the city.

The opening ceremony was attended by Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion, Deputy Mayor Hagit Moshe, City Council member Yehuda Freidiger, a representative from Mifal HaPais, and senior figures from the Ariel Movement, including Rabbi Aryeh Betzalel and Secretary General Elchanan Wolf. Mayor Lion emphasized the importance of the partnership and described the new center as a vibrant hub for education, values, and volunteerism benefiting the neighborhood and the entire city.

Rabbi Betzalel expressed gratitude to the mayor and public officials, linking the establishment of the center to the legacy of Jewish heritage and sacrifice. The Ariel Movement, which currently operates about 180 branches nationwide with approximately 20,000 members, continues to expand its presence in Jerusalem and across Israel. The new Pisgat Ze'ev branch is part of this growth, supported by local community administration and municipal efforts to enhance public assets for residents' welfare.

The event also recognized the contributions of the national movement leadership, past and present counselors, instructors, parent committees, and the youth members themselves. The Ariel Movement aims to foster educational and community engagement through its expanding infrastructure and programs.
