New Youth Cultural Center Opens Near Haifa's Sammy Ofer Stadium

A new cultural center named "HaYatzia" (The Stand) was inaugurated on Thursday near the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa, serving the residents of the Neot Peres neighborhood. The center aims to be a unique community and social hub for the neighborhood's teenagers, offering a wide range of activities, content, and opportunities for personal and social development.

The project was established by the "Yefe Nof" company. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav, City Manager David Luria, Sammy Ofer Stadium Chairman Tzvi Barbi, Stadium CEO Lior Peri, Head of Haifa Municipality's Education, Culture, and Sports Administration Ilana Turok, Chairman of the Haifa Economic Corporation Rani Bender, "Yefe Nof" CEO Shiran Pisu, representatives from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education, and local teenagers.

The innovative center will provide teenagers with diverse activities in culture, society, and leisure. These include music and performing arts events, preparation courses for the IDF and meaningful service, youth leadership activities, a municipal young counselors program, and various other initiatives.

The center is designed as a youthful, high-quality, and inviting space tailored to the needs of teenagers, intended to serve as a place for meetings, creativity, and learning within a community environment close to home.
