Israeli Charity 'Lehachayot' Announces New Activity Center Amid Celebratory Event Featuring Yaakov Shwekey

An annual highlight event for the Israeli charity 'Lehachayot' took place recently, combining music, joy, and a major organizational announcement. The event opened with remarks from Rabbi David Yosef, the Chief Rabbi of Israel, who praised the resilience of parents and commended the charity's leaders and volunteers for their year-round support of children and families.

The evening's centerpiece was the announcement by Rabbi Mendy Lebel, CEO of 'Lehachayot,' revealing plans to open a new activity center due to growing demand and expansion of the charity's services. This new center will complement the existing one in the Ramot neighborhood, which weekly hosts children for activities, singing, and emotional support.

The musical segment featured a special performance by renowned singer Yaakov Shwekey, who traveled from the United States for the occasion. He was joined by Motty Weisel, Shrolik Kalatzkin, and Shuki Solomon, accompanied by the "Capella" choir under the direction of Levi Pink and the orchestra led by Danny Avidani.

A notable moment was the recognition of businesswoman and philanthropist Chani Stieglitz, who received an honorary certificate for her significant contributions to the event and ongoing support for 'Lehachayot' and the families it serves. The event was organized in collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality's Department for Torah Culture, led by Pinchas Ehrlich, and produced by Tzevaim Productions.
