Jerusalem School Opens New Academic Year in Modern Facility

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion visited the "Mamad Pla HaMechil" school in the Katamon neighborhood on Tuesday to mark the start of the new academic year. The visit highlighted the school's relocation to a new, spacious building, a significant upgrade from its previous temporary structure.

School principal Noa Ben Ami expressed her excitement for the new year and her new role, stating, "We are starting a new year with great excitement, also for me in the new role of principal. I have the privilege of being here from the first day of the school's establishment. We moved from a temporary and small structure to a huge 'villa' thanks to many factors, chief among them Mayor Moshe Lion."

School counselor Avital Zuckerman emphasized the positive atmosphere and learning environment of the new building. "We are entering a place full of light, joy, and spaces that can teach our children. The school was established with a lot of thought about spacious classrooms. Outside each classroom, we have spaces, and we believe a lot in group learning. Our agenda is that there are many ways to learn."

First-grade teacher and educator Tzipi Ben Simhon wished the students a successful year of activity, expressing joy and excitement for the opening day.
