Kings Kangwa is close to signing with Greek club Panathinaikos, according to a report from the Greek sports site SDNA. Hapoel Be'er Sheva is expected to accept Panathinaikos' offer of 3.8 million euros plus bonuses for the Zambian midfielder. The report states that the coming hours are critical for finalizing the deal, with developments likely on Friday.

Panathinaikos does not urgently need Kangwa for their European matches, unlike AEK Athens, which had initially offered around 4 million euros but wanted Kangwa immediately. Be'er Sheva refused that condition, wanting him to participate in two upcoming matches against Vikingur. Understanding that Kangwa's departure is inevitable, Be'er Sheva views the Panathinaikos offer positively.

Kangwa has been monitored by Panathinaikos for about two months and is reportedly enthusiastic about moving to Greece and signing a lucrative contract. Panathinaikos aims to win the Greek championship, while AEK is focused on securing significant revenue through the Champions League playoffs.
