Man Bitten by Snake While Sleeping Calls for Neighborhood Clean-Up

A man named Adam Kot was bitten by a snake while sleeping at his home near a grove. He awoke in the middle of the night with sharp pain and noticed bite marks and blood on his hand. Fearing the snake was venomous, Kot immediately called emergency medical services and waited outside his house for help.

A snake catcher was later called to the scene and found the snake hiding in Kot's bed. Kot does not know how the snake entered his home but suspects it came through an open door or window. He was taken to Emek Hospital in moderate condition, where he began receiving antivenom treatment during ambulance transport. His condition is now improving under continuous medical supervision.

Kot described the traumatic experience, saying he is now afraid to sleep in his own bed and plans to check his room thoroughly each night. He urged the public to maintain cleanliness around their homes by trimming vegetation and removing potential snake or scorpion hiding spots. Kot also called on municipal authorities to ensure neighborhood cleanliness, especially in areas frequented by children, emphasizing the importance of not underestimating the danger.
