Man Bitten by Snake While Sleeping Calls for Neighborhood Clean-Up After Hospitalization

A man named Adam Kot was bitten by a snake while sleeping at his home near a grove. He woke up in the middle of the night feeling a sharp pain and noticed bite marks with blood on his hand. Fearing the snake was venomous, Kot immediately called emergency medical services and waited outside his house for help.

A snake catcher was later called to the scene and found the snake hiding in Kot's bed. Kot was hospitalized at Emek Medical Center in moderate condition, where he began receiving antivenom treatment during ambulance transport. Doctors described the case as serious but noted his condition is improving under continuous medical supervision.

Kot expressed trauma from the incident, saying he now fears going to sleep and plans to check his room thoroughly each night. He urged the public to maintain cleanliness around homes by trimming vegetation and removing potential snake or scorpion hiding spots. He also called on municipalities to ensure neighborhood cleanliness, especially in areas where children play, emphasizing the importance of not underestimating such dangers.
