Beit Shean Resident Survives Venomous Viper Bite in His Sleep

A routine night turned life-threatening for Adam Kot from Beit Shean when he was bitten by a venomous viper while asleep. Kot woke up suddenly after feeling a sharp bite on his hand and noticed two puncture wounds, realizing he had been bitten by a venomous snake. He believes the snake entered his apartment through an open door or window. Aware of the danger posed by the venom, Kot described his fear, saying, "I have poison, I could die in seconds, I could die in a minute, I don't know what kind of venom entered my hand." He was promptly taken to Emek Medical Center, where he was hospitalized and received medical treatment.
