Man in Beit She'an Wakes to Find Venomous Snake Bite in His Bed

Adam Kot from Beit She'an woke up at night with a sharp pain in his hand and noticed two bite marks accompanied by blood. Suspecting a venomous snake bite, he immediately called emergency medical services. Kot waited outside his home for the paramedics, fearing to stay inside. He was taken to Emek Medical Center in moderate condition, where he began receiving antivenom treatment during ambulance transport.

The next day, the landlord called a snake catcher who found the snake hiding inside the very bed where Kot had been sleeping. Kot expressed shock upon learning the snake had been in his bed and speculated it might have entered through an open door or window. Medical staff informed him the case was dangerous, but his condition is now improving under continued medical supervision.

Despite recovery, Kot described feeling traumatized by the incident, saying, "The bed is supposed to be the safest place, and suddenly there is a snake there. Now I am afraid to go to sleep." He urged the public to remain vigilant, clean their surroundings, and reduce hiding places for snakes and scorpions to prevent similar incidents.
