OPPO Launches Sleek Find N6 Foldable Phone With Notable Upgrades and High Price
OPPO has introduced its new foldable smartphone, the Find N6, ahead of upcoming foldable launches from Apple and Samsung. The Find N6 maintains the ultra-thin 4.2 mm thickness when unfolded, matching last year’s model and Samsung’s recent foldable, while weighing approximately 225 grams. The device feels like a regular smartphone when folded but is slightly heavier than some flagship competitors. OPPO addressed the lack of a built-in stylus by offering a protective case with a slot and charging port for the pen, sold separately for over 600 shekels, which increases the overall weight to 275 grams.
The hinge between the screens is nearly invisible and tactilely unnoticeable, improving on the previous model. The external screen is slightly narrow but usable, measuring 6.62 inches folded and 8.12 inches when opened. The phone features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Elite processor with seven cores instead of eight, balancing performance and heat management. It comes with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, delivering smooth performance without overheating. The 6,000 mAh battery supports 80W fast charging, though the review unit lacked the included charger. Charging from 15% to 50% took about 20 minutes with a 65W charger.
The Find N6 runs Android 16 with OPPO’s ColorOS 16 interface, supporting multitasking and split-screen modes. However, many apps do not fully utilize the large tablet-like display, often stretching rather than optimizing content. OPPO includes AI features like text proofreading and audio transcription in English but lacks Hebrew support. The phone’s camera system, developed with Hasselblad, includes a 200 MP main sensor, a 50 MP telephoto, and a 50 MP ultrawide lens, plus two selfie cameras. Photo quality is excellent in various lighting conditions, with useful features like a preview on the external screen.
Despite its strengths in design, display, and camera quality, the Find N6’s main drawbacks are its high price of 8,800 shekels and underutilized software optimization for the foldable form factor. The device offers a premium foldable experience but faces stiff competition from upcoming Samsung foldables, which may be priced more competitively.
