Oppo Launches Find N6 Foldable in Israel, Challenging Samsung Ahead of Galaxy Z Fold 8

Oppo has introduced its Find N6 foldable smartphone to the Israeli market, positioning it as the best foldable device currently available, ahead of Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Apple's anticipated foldable launch later this year. The Find N6 aims to overcome common foldable phone issues such as visible screen creases, weak batteries, and subpar cameras, which have previously deterred users from adopting foldable technology.

A standout feature of the Find N6 is Oppo's "Zero-Feel Crease" technology, which uses advanced engineering including a titanium hinge and 3D-printed liquid polymer to minimize the screen crease to near invisibility. The device also employs thicker Ultra Thin Glass with self-healing properties that smooth out creases after extended periods of being open. The phone is slim and lightweight, measuring 8.93mm thick when closed and weighing 225 grams, with robust IP56, IP58, and IP59 certifications for dust and water resistance.

The Find N6 features two LTPO OLED screens: a 6.62-inch external display with an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate and a bright 3,600 nits peak brightness, and an 8.12-inch internal screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with a 7-core configuration for better heat management, the phone maintains a cool temperature under heavy use. It includes 16GB RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage, running Android 16 with Oppo's ColorOS 16 interface.

The camera system, developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, includes a 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Find N6 supports 4K video recording at 120fps with Dolby Vision and advanced stabilization. Battery capacity is a notable 6,000mAh using silicon-carbon technology, offering up to two days of typical use and fast charging capabilities of 80W wired and 50W wireless.

Despite its impressive features, the Find N6 carries a high price tag of 8,990 shekels (approximately $2,500), which may limit its appeal. The device is ideal for professional multitasking and productivity but raises questions about the necessity of foldables given the strong performance of traditional flagship smartphones. Oppo's Find N6 is currently available in Israel through the official importer Ronlight, marking a significant challenge to Samsung's dominance in the local foldable market ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 release in September.
