OPPO Launches Find X9 Ultra with Advanced Camera at Premium Price in Israel
OPPO has introduced its new Find X9 Ultra smartphone in Israel through importer Ronlight, targeting photography enthusiasts with a high-end camera system and premium features. The device features a main 200-megapixel sensor and an additional 200-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, complemented by ultra-wide and 50-megapixel telephoto sensors with 10x optical zoom. The selfie camera is upgraded to 50 megapixels. The camera system was developed in collaboration with Hasselblad and includes AI-based image processing, which sometimes produces overly artificial results. A "Master" mode is available for users who prefer manual control and less AI intervention. While ultra-wide shots show slight edge blurring, overall image quality is strong, though AI sharpening struggles with Hebrew text in digital zoom.
The Find X9 Ultra sports a 6.82-inch OLED +QHD display with an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,600 nits, offering vivid colors and excellent visibility even in direct sunlight. Powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, the phone delivers smooth performance under heavy loads. However, it comes preloaded with numerous third-party apps like AliExpress, Temu, Amazon, Spotify, and Netflix, which some users may find excessive for a premium device.
The design combines a metal frame with a leather-like back, giving a luxurious feel but includes a large camera bump that adds weight and affects balance, making it less comfortable to hold for extended periods. The phone weighs 235 grams, 10 grams heavier than its predecessor. It features a dedicated orange button for quick camera access and control.
Battery capacity is significantly increased to 7,050mAh, supporting 100W wired fast charging (charger sold separately) and 50W wireless charging with a proprietary charger. This ensures long usage even during intensive tasks.
Priced around 6,000 shekels, the Find X9 Ultra competes directly with flagship models from Samsung and Apple, such as the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max. While it excels in camera capabilities and display quality, some drawbacks like preinstalled apps, lack of included charger, and aggressive AI photo processing may detract from the premium experience expected at this price point. OPPO's offering stands out for users prioritizing advanced photography in an Android ecosystem.
