Jonathan Motley, the center for Hapoel Tel Aviv, is currently in negotiations with Serbian club Red Star Belgrade ahead of the upcoming season. Motley, who extended his contract with Hapoel Tel Aviv in March for two additional years with an option for a third, has been a key player, averaging 8.3 points in 14.6 minutes per game. Despite his recent contract extension, Motley is reportedly being pursued by Red Star Belgrade, a team that has seen several big men depart this summer, including Joel Bolomboy, who signed with Villeurbanne, veteran Dontas Motiejunas, and former Maccabi Tel Aviv player Hassiel Rivera, who struggled with injuries throughout the season. Motley's new contract, reportedly worth around 5 million euros in total, was first revealed by Sport 5. The talks indicate potential changes in the roster for both Motley and Red Star Belgrade as the new season approaches.
