Israeli Health Ministry Warns Against Fake 'Daliyat al-Karmel Village Olive Oil' Product

The Israeli Ministry of Health has issued a warning to the public regarding the consumption of a counterfeit product labeled "Daliyat al-Karmel Village Olive Oil," produced by Mishak HaGalil in Majd al-Krum. This alert follows routine inspections by the Food Service of the Ministry and a citizen complaint. The Ministry's investigation revealed that the producer is not registered with the Ministry of Health and the origin of the oil is unknown.

The Ministry cautions consumers against purchasing or consuming this product or any food items from unidentified sources or those that do not comply with legal standards. It urges the public to buy food products only from authorized distributors and recognized sources.

The Food Service will continue to monitor and detect food fraud cases, including olive oil counterfeiting. If violations of Israeli legislation and standards are found, the Ministry will take all necessary measures in cooperation with relevant authorities to address these issues.
