Israel's general election ended in a stalemate with no clear bloc victory, leaving options for a unity government, a minority government, or new elections. The Likud party and Arab parties saw significant gains, while pollsters faced severe criticism for inaccurate predictions. Campaign management, particularly for Gadi Eisenkot, was also scrutinized for its effectiveness. Naftali Bennett's campaign was strong but resulted in a lower-than-expected seat count.

Israel's recent tumultuous election concluded without a clear victor for either the "change bloc" or the "right-wing bloc," leaving three potential government formations: a unity government with Benjamin Netanyahu serving first in a rotation, a minority government supported by Arab parties including Ra'am, or a repeat election. While no bloc emerged as a decisive winner, the "change bloc" appears to be more disappointed than the "right-wing bloc," according to pre-election polls and assessments. The Likud party surprised by securing 27 seats, reinforcing the strength of the "Likud under Netanyahu" brand. Arab parties also achieved a significant success, with increased turnout in the Arab community leading to an unprecedented 17 seats.

However, the election's aftermath has highlighted major failures, particularly among polling firms. Described as a "professional, stinging failure," pollsters like Manu Geva, Shmuel Rosner, Dudi Hassid, and Shlomo Filber presented surveys that significantly diverged from the final results, even misjudging exit polls. Geva's exit poll predicted 52 seats for the change bloc and 50 for the right-wing bloc, while the actual outcome was 54 seats for the right-wing bloc and 49 for the change bloc. Filber's projection of 62 seats for the right-wing bloc also proved inaccurate. These firms are now facing a critical self-examination regarding their methodologies and the reasons for their widespread errors.

The election results also disrupted market expectations, particularly for the real estate sector, which had anticipated a political shift that would lead to lower interest rates. The political uncertainty has caused real estate stocks to plummet.

Campaigns also faced criticism. Ronen Menelis, campaign manager for Gadi Eisenkot, is faulted for a lack of experience and an unfocused strategy, failing to capitalize on key issues like the aftermath of October 7th, judicial reform, and public disillusionment. The campaign's digital efforts were deemed weak, and Eisenkot's low profile until a week before the election was questioned.

In contrast, Naftali Bennett ran a strong campaign, traveling extensively and engaging with diverse audiences. Despite this, his party secured only 12 seats, suggesting his political brand may have lost some of its former power, disappointing expectations for him as a potential governing option.
