The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Monday that it had eliminated four terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad in a series of airstrikes across the Gaza Strip over the weekend and on Sunday. Among those killed was Muhammad Anan Muhammad Al-Ruag, identified as the head of a Nukhba cell within Hamas's military wing. Al-Ruag was eliminated in an attack in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday.
On Sunday, three additional airstrikes resulted in the deaths of Alaa Abu Zaid and Hamdan Sulaiman Ibrahim Abu Amra, both described as activists in the military wing of Islamic Jihad. Fuzi Salam Odat Allah Suarka, a sniper terrorist in Hamas's military wing who had been promoting sniper tactics against IDF forces, was also killed. These strikes follow the recent announcement by the IDF and Shin Bet of the elimination of two terrorists involved in transferring funds from Iran and Turkey to Hamas.
According to the IDF spokesperson, the four eliminated terrorists were active during the war, particularly in recent times, advancing terror operations against IDF forces and Israeli civilians, and working to restore their organizations' military capabilities while systematically violating the ceasefire. The IDF stated the airstrikes were conducted to neutralize the threat they posed.
Additionally, on Sunday, IDF forces identified a military structure in northern Gaza used as a sniper post against them. The Air Force immediately attacked and destroyed the structure. The IDF affirmed that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the Gaza Strip according to the agreement and will continue to act to remove threats to the forces.
