Border Police forces operating in the Jerusalem envelope area have uncovered an underground route near the village of al-Ram, which allegedly exploited existing sewage infrastructure to smuggle undocumented individuals from the West Bank into Israel. During a nighttime operation, dozens of individuals were apprehended. The northern battalion of the Border Police's Jerusalem envelope unit, along with undercover Border Police officers and IDF forces from the Benjamin Brigade, conducted the operation to locate and arrest those using the discovered tunnel.

The entrance to the underground passage was concealed beneath a commercial vehicle. Forces discovered 32 undocumented individuals who had crossed into Israel near the Beit Hanina area via the tunnel, as well as four suspects believed to have aided their entry. All suspects were transferred for further investigation by the Border Police's investigative unit in the Jerusalem envelope.

Following the discovery of the route and the arrests, investigators have launched further inquiries to uncover the full extent of the operation and prosecute those involved.
