Israeli security forces have uncovered an underground passage, utilizing existing sewage infrastructure, that was allegedly used for the illegal infiltration of individuals into Israel from the West Bank. The entrance to the tunnel, located near the village of al-Ram in the Jerusalem area, was concealed by a commercial vehicle parked above it. During an operation conducted Monday night, Border Police (Magav) and undercover officers apprehended 32 individuals suspected of illegally entering Israel via the passage, as well as four individuals suspected of aiding their infiltration. The suspects were transferred for further investigation. The operation, carried out by Magav's Jerusalem Envelope unit, targeted an underground route believed to be used for smuggling individuals from Judea and Samaria into Israel. The discovered route exploited existing sewage systems to move people beneath the ground. The commercial vehicle served as a disguise for the tunnel's opening, allowing entry from within the parked vehicle itself. All 36 individuals detained were taken for questioning by the investigative and intelligence division of Magav's Jerusalem Envelope unit.
