The entrance to the tunnel was concealed beneath a commercial vehicle. The passage reportedly utilized existing sewage infrastructure. During an operation conducted overnight, 32 undocumented individuals and four suspects believed to be involved in facilitating their entry were apprehended. Following the discovery, forces from the Border Police's Northern Battalion in the Jerusalem envelope, along with undercover Border Police officers from Jerusalem and IDF troops from the Benjamin Brigade, conducted a joint operation to locate and arrest individuals who had used the tunnel.
