Xpeng P7+ Targets Tesla Model 3 With Larger EV Sedan Priced at NIS 200,000

Xpeng is bringing the P7+ to Israel, an electric sedan positioned as the largest car in its price band and a direct challenger to the Tesla Model 3. The new model is priced at about NIS 200,000, compared with NIS 192,000 for the base Model 3.

The P7+ measures 5.07 meters long, 1.937 meters wide and 1.51 meters high, with a 3-meter wheelbase. That makes it 35 cm longer, 8 cm wider, 7 cm taller and 12 cm longer in wheelbase than the Model 3. Its trunk holds 573 liters. Power comes from a rear-wheel-drive motor rated at 313 hp and 43.9 kgm, delivering 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h.

The car uses a 75 kWh battery, with an official combined range of 530 km, 4 km less than the base Model 3. Xpeng says it can fast-charge at up to 446 kW and slow-charge at 11 kW. In Israel, it will be offered in a single trim only, with 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8.8-inch digital gauge cluster, an 8-inch rear display, wireless charging for two phones, Nappa leather, a 20-speaker audio system, powered front seats, front seat ventilation and massage, rear outer-seat massage, and a dashcam.

Some colors will cost an extra NIS 5,000, and a tow hitch will add NIS 6,000. Safety equipment includes autonomous emergency braking front and rear, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, door-opening warning, automatic high beams and autonomous lane changes. Service is every year or 20,000 km, the vehicle warranty is five years or 120,000 km, and the battery warranty is up to eight years or 160,000 km. Xpeng says the P7+ is launching at the same price as the smaller, less equipped P7 did three years ago, another sign of falling prices in the EV market, but it is entering a shrinking electric sedan segment in Israel, making it hard to match the roughly 1,800 P7s sold there so far.
