Skoda unveils the PEAQ, its largest electric SUV with seven seats

Skoda has revealed the PEAQ, a large all-electric SUV it is calling the brand’s flagship. The seven-seat model uses a 2+3+2 layout, offers up to 299 hp, and can travel up to 647 km. Champion Motors, Skoda’s importer in Israel, said the car is expected to reach the Israeli market only in the second half of 2027.

The PEAQ is built on Volkswagen Group’s MEB electric platform and is positioned as the electric equivalent of the Kodiaq. Compared with the Kodiaq, it is 11.6 cm longer at 4.87 meters, 0.3 cm wider at 1.87 meters, 0.5 cm taller at 1.66 meters, and has a wheelbase that is 17.4 cm longer at 2.96 meters. Ground clearance is 18.4 cm, the rear cargo area holds 299 liters, and a 37-liter frunk is included for the charging cable and the rear cargo cover. Towing capacity reaches 1,800 kg on the base version and 2,000 kg on the top version.

Styling takes cues from the Vision 7S concept, with T-shaped lighting, hidden door handles, and 19- to 21-inch wheels. Skoda says the rear doors are the largest in the segment to ease access to the second and third rows. The drag coefficient is 0.249 Cd, and a Sportline trim will add blacked-out accents and sportier cabin details.

Inside, the PEAQ gets a two-level dashboard, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and a 13.6-inch vertical infotainment screen, a first for Skoda. Equipment includes wireless charging, physical climate controls, a fold-out table, ambient lighting, matrix LED headlights, 360-degree cameras, augmented-reality head-up display, a 16-speaker Sonos audio system, heated steering wheel, AGR seats, adaptive suspension, a 230-volt outlet in the trunk, and a 2.1-square-meter panoramic roof. Safety tech includes Travel Assist cruise control, intersection cross-traffic alert, and driver monitoring.

At launch, Skoda will offer three powertrains, 60, 90, and 90X. The 60 version has a 59 kWh net NMC battery, 204 hp, 459 km of range, 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, 6.5-hour AC charging, and 27-minute fast charging at 160 kW. The 90 uses an 86 kWh net battery, 286 hp, 647 km of range, 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, 9-hour AC charging, and 28-minute fast charging at 199 kW. The 90X adds all-wheel drive, 299 hp, 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and 613 km of range.
