According to information obtained by N12, the plane experienced a rapid descent of approximately 4,000 meters (about 13,000 feet) within a single minute. This severe dive resulted in the control yoke in the cockpit tearing loose.

Despite the critical damage and the highly unusual circumstances, an additional team of pilots who happened to be on board the flight managed to enter the cockpit. They successfully took control of the aircraft, stabilized it, and landed it safely in Saudi Arabia under challenging conditions.
