משטרת ישראל עצרה תושב יפיע בן 29, בחשד למעורבות ברצח כאלד ומג'ד מחאג'נה, אב ובנו תושבי יפיע, שאירע ב-20 בדצמבר 2025. השניים נורו למוות בנצרת לאחר שיצאו מאירוע סולחה בעיר. כוחות משמר הגבול ביצעו את המעצר הבוקר, ובית המשפט האריך את מעצרו של החשוד. הרצח התרחש לפני תשעה חודשים, והחקירה נמשכת.
