צה"ל עדכן כי לוחמי יחידת דובדבן עצרו שני מחבלים בכפר קבאטיה במהלך יום הכיפורים. על פי הדיווח, השניים תכננו לבצע פיגוע "בטווח הזמן המיידי". במקביל למעצר, כוחות הביטחון מיפו בכפר בידו את ביתו של המחבל שביצע את הפיגוע במעיין עין ריא, בו נרצח נתנאל שקרון ז"ל לפני החג. במהלך מבצע חטיבתי בכפר בידו, סרקו הכוחות מיקומים חשודים, תחקרו כ-90 חשודים ואיתרו רובה ציד.
