פרקליטות המדינה הגישה כתב אישום חמור נגד צעיר מכפר סילואן, בגין רצח בכוונה תחילה ועם תכנון מוקדם, לאחר שירה למוות באזרח חוסיין דאר עיסא מהעיר העתיקה. הרקע למעשה הוא סכסוך שפרץ בעקבות ביטול אירוסיה של אחותו של הנרצח.

על פי החקירה, הפשע התרחש במהלך פגישה בין הצדדים, אז הותקפו הצעיר ואחיו באופן פתאומי בסכינים ובנשק חם, מה שהוביל למותו של דאר עיסא.

במקביל, הוגש כתב אישום נגד צעיר נוסף מכפר אלעיסאוויה, באשמת שיבוש הליכי משפט וסיוע לאחר ביצוע הפשע. בית המשפט המרכזי בירושלים דן בתיק נגד המעורבים.
